Mobile Liturgical Platform
The Episcopal Church

The Challenge
The Episcopal Church's Electronic Common Prayer (eCP) app served thousands of worshippers, clergy, and congregations daily, but the aging codebase was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain and enhance. Users needed a more reliable, accessible, and performant mobile experience that would work seamlessly across both iOS and Android platforms while maintaining offline functionality for use during services.
Our Solution
We completely rebuilt eCP from the ground up using React Native, creating a modern cross-platform mobile application that delivers superior performance, accessibility, and maintainability. The new architecture provides enhanced offline support, advanced search capabilities, and streamlined navigation across the complete 1979 Book of Common Prayer and associated lectionaries. We modernized the interface with contemporary accessibility and typography standards while preserving the reverent experience users expect from a liturgical tool.
